Green – who was crowned Miss South Africa 2018 and represented South Africa in the Miss Universe 2018 competition and placed as the first runner-up – qualified as a doctor last year and is also a much in-demand model.

She says she is excited to return to the Miss South Africa stage as the host of the pre-show: “I am so honoured to be selected for this incredible role. I’m looking forward to a fun, thrilling and dazzling few days with the Miss South Africa team and lovely finalists.

So what can online viewers of the pre-show expect: “The unexpected. I will be giving the online audience an all access pass to what happens during a real Miss South Africa production. A glimpse of the craziness behind the glamour!”

She has some sage advice for the 2020 Top 10 finalists: “Enjoy every moment and be present. Give your best as your true authentic self. Show the world who you are and what you’re capable of. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so grab it with both hands!”

Miss South Africa 2020 will be crowned at The Table Bay hotel in Cape Town, in an entertainment-packed event on Saturday, October 24, from 17h00. The event will also be screened live across the continent on M-Net and Mzansi Magic.
