A New Era of Leadership and Impact

The 2025 Miss South Africa pageant is committed to empowering young women to become leaders and change-makers. The organisation identifies, empowers, and celebrates exceptional women who drive positive change and contribute to society, unlocking the potential of South Africa’s youth and women.

The Empower Youth Africa Mandate: A Core Judging Criterion

Every finalist has been tasked with developing and implementing an Empower Youth Africa (EYA) campaign as part of her journey.

Empower Youth Africa is not symbolic; it is a deliberate response to the challenges facing young people today. It gives structure to how we use the influence of Miss South Africa by connecting young leaders to opportunities with a mandate that requires finalists to focus on:

  • Youth Unemployment
  • Entrepreneurship and Skills Development
  • Education Access
  • Health and Wellness
  • Civic Engagement
  • Pan African Collaboration and Cultural Exchange

EYA strength lies in scale: one titleholder can inspire thousands, but a movement can equip millions.

We are intentionally using the Miss South Africa platform as a bridge between aspirational leadership and practical impact. The platform comes with influence, reach and access to stakeholders, and we want to use those resources to enable finalists to apply their backgrounds and abilities toward entrepreneurship, employment pathways and social participation, for the betterment of their communities, with a focus on addressing unemployment and strengthening civic engagement.

Data will be used to understand and track impact and to better serve the communities the finalists represent.

The crown and sash are tools of advocacy, but their impact is maximised only when aligned with tangible socioeconomic progress.

The EYA mandate is directly aligned to the brand values: Courage. Purpose. Transformation.
